I maybe wrong here, but I can't see the relationship between calculating vit and minerals requirements and the type of food , I.e. if one needs 10gm of vit x , then they need 10 gms absorbed in the body , they dont say 10gm to be ingested because they think only half is going to be absorbed if the source is plant and two thirds is going to be absorbed if the source is animal, i.e these numbers are of the amount required to be absorbed by the body, sorry if my point is as clear as mud, but hope some of you KWIM.
I'm not talking about the source. I'm talking about the fat that is needed to dissolve the vitamins in order to absorb it
Let's see, just some imaginary numbers to explain my point
Let's say you need 10 unit of vitamin X
Eating the SAD way you eat 10 unit of vitamin X
It's low dietary fat so you have only 2 dissolving unit of fat
so you actually have 2 unit of available vitamin X
eating the carnivore way, you eat 4 units of vitamin X
you have enough dietary fat to dissolve all 4 units
you have 4 units available
Whether the dietary requirements are calculated for intake or absorption does not change that eating more dietary fat give us a big advantage.
